Pulling my phone from my pocket I dial Alex.

He answers after a few rings.

This is my last chance to turn him down. But I don’t. “Okay, I’ve thought about your offer, and I’m in.”

“Brilliant!”

“And you’re sure it will remain confidential.” The angel sitting on my shoulder tells me I’m making the wrong decision, but I go with the devil and throw caution to the wind.

“You have my personal guarantee, Scott.”

“Then count me in.”

“Are you free now?”

“Yes, why?”

“So I can show you around the place.”

Nerves mingle with excitement. “I’ll jump in a taxi now and see you there soon.”

“Okay, call me when you’re outside and I’ll let you in.”
